Tiimo vs Structured: Which Planner Fits ADHD?

Updated October 9, 2026 · Prices, platforms and ratings checked today · We make FOCO, mentioned below but not in the head-to-head

Short answer: Structured is the better pick for most people who want a clean, simple timeline: almost every feature is free and it now runs on iPhone, Android, Mac and the web. Tiimo is the better pick if you want a planner designed around neurodivergent brains, with a focus timer and routines, and you are willing to pay for Pro.

  • Pick Structured if you want one uncluttered day timeline and don’t want to pay to get started.
  • Pick Tiimo if you want a visual planner built specifically for ADHD and autistic users, with more support around the plan.
  • Pick FOCO if the plan is not the problem and starting the first task is.

How do Tiimo and Structured compare at a glance?

Both apps turn a day of tasks into a visual timeline, which is why they keep getting compared. Here is the side-by-side, with prices, platforms and ratings checked on October 9, 2026.

What do the two apps actually look like?

We did not test Tiimo or Structured hands-on for this update. The screenshots below come from each company’s own site, and the feature details come from their pricing pages, help centers and App Store listings.

Tiimo's homepage
Tiimo’s homepage (tiimoapp.com, 2026).

Tiimo surrounds the timeline with more: routines, a focus timer, reminders and a to-do view. Structured keeps one line for one day, with blocks sized to how long each thing takes.

Structured’s timeline: each task is a colored block with a start and end time (official App Store screenshot).

For contrast, this is FOCO’s day view, the only app here we use ourselves. Tasks sit in morning, afternoon and anytime groups rather than on an hour-by-hour line.

Which one is actually built for ADHD?

Tiimo. It is designed and marketed for neurodivergent people first, while Structured is a general planner that many ADHD users happen to love.

That difference matters less than it sounds. A tool built with you in mind is not automatically better than one that simply fits how your brain works.

Many people with ADHD do better with fewer choices on screen, because planning, prioritizing and holding steps in mind all lean on executive function. Structured’s sparse layout can be easier to keep opening than a fuller app.

Which handles time blindness better?

Both, in slightly different ways. Time blindness, trouble sensing how much time has passed or how long something will take, is the problem both timelines are trying to make visible (our time blindness guide goes deeper).

Structured is the more direct answer: one line, one day, blocks sized to real duration. Its Energy Monitor, built with the Dutch institute Breinstraat, also lets you score tasks by how draining they are and warns you when a day is overloaded (Structured help: Energy Monitor).

Tiimo does the same timeline job with more scaffolding, including routines and a built-in focus timer. If you want help staying with a block once it starts, that extra layer earns its place.

Which works on my devices?

Both now work almost everywhere, so devices no longer decide this comparison. Structured used to be Apple-only, but it launched on Android in November 2023 and on the web in August 2024 (Structured help: platform availability).

Structured says some iOS features are still missing on Android and web, and that a small team is adding them gradually. Tiimo is in a similar spot: its Android app was rebuilt in 2026 and is still catching up to iOS (Tiimo’s Android relaunch post).

If you live on an iPhone, both apps give you the full experience. On Android or a laptop browser, expect a slightly thinner version of either.

Which is cheaper?

Structured, for most people, because almost everything works without paying. Its help center says you can use “almost every feature of Structured for free,” with Pro adding Structured AI, recurring tasks, calendar import and custom notifications (What is Structured Pro?).

Structured Pro comes as monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase, and Structured says the price depends on your region and currency. Tiimo Pro is monthly or yearly, the price shown at checkout varies by country, and the 7-day free trial applies to the yearly plan only (Tiimo pricing).

Neither company publishes one fixed price, so we are not quoting one. Check the in-app paywall in your country before you pay.

Does either app help you start a task you’re avoiding?

Not really, and that is a different problem from planning. Both apps are good at showing the shape of a day you have already decided to do.

Neither is built for the moment of staring at a task and not being able to begin. That is task initiation, and our guide to task initiation deficit explains why a good plan alone often doesn’t fix it.

Who should pick which?

Choose Tiimo if:

  • You want an app made for neurodivergent people, from onboarding to design.
  • You want routines and a focus timer next to the timeline.
  • You will use it daily, so a Pro subscription makes sense.

Choose Structured if:

  • You want the simplest possible timeline with little visual noise.
  • You want most features free, or a one-time lifetime option.
  • You tend to overbook yourself and want an energy check on your day.

Choose FOCO if:

  • Your day is planned, but you freeze at the first task.
  • You want AI to break a stuck task into small steps, each with a time estimate, then a focus timer with an on-screen companion.
  • You are fine with a paid app ($59 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $9 a month), on iPhone or Android.

FAQ

Is Structured free?

Mostly. Structured says almost every feature is free, and Pro adds extras like Structured AI, recurring tasks and calendar import.

Is Tiimo free?

Tiimo has a free version with some planning tools on iOS and Android. The full app, including the web version, needs Pro, with a 7-day trial on the yearly plan.

Does Structured work on Android?

Yes. Structured launched on Android in November 2023 and on the web in August 2024, though some iOS features are still missing on both.

Is Structured cheaper than Tiimo?

Usually, because most of Structured is free and it offers a lifetime option. Both apps set Pro prices by region, so compare the paywalls in your own country.

Which app is better for autistic adults?

Tiimo is designed with autistic and ADHD users in mind. Many autistic people use Structured happily too, so the simpler screen may suit you better.

What is Structured’s Energy Monitor?

It is an opt-in feature where you give each task energy points and Structured warns you when the day goes over your limit. It is not available on Structured Web yet.

How did we compare them?

We did not test Tiimo or Structured hands-on for this update. Details come from Tiimo’s pricing page and Android announcement, Structured’s help center articles on Pro, platforms and the Energy Monitor, and both App Store listings, all checked on October 9, 2026.

Ratings are from the US App Store on October 9, 2026. We make FOCO, so we kept FOCO out of the head-to-head table and say so wherever it appears.

Key Takeaways

  • Structured is the simpler, mostly free timeline, and it now runs on iPhone, Android, Mac and the web.
  • Tiimo is built for neurodivergent users and adds routines and a focus timer, with most of it on Pro.
  • Both set Pro prices by region, so check the in-app paywall in your country before paying.
  • If the plan is fine but you can’t start step one, FOCO breaks the task into timed steps and stays with you while you work.
